This article will provide the steps to locate and update the saved password in Thunderbird.

Open Thunderbird

Select Tools, then select Settings

Select Privacy & Security

In Passwords, select Saved Passwords

Select Show Passwords
- If it prompts you for a PIN or password, please use the same one you use to sign in to your computer

Select Yes in the prompt asking you if you want to view your passwords

The Password column will appear, and you should see your passwords in plain text

Double-click on the password field next to each username. You'll then be able to clear the old entry and type in your updated password. If you have an App-Specific Password setup, you must enter the App-Specific Password you have created for this email application. Learn more
