Where is my data hosted?
In addition to the information contained this article: Where is my data hosted? the following information applies:
We distinguish between two main types of data:
1. Customer content data – this includes the data you directly control, such as your emails, calendar entries, contacts, and account settings. This data is stored securely in AWS data centres located in Ireland (EU).
2. Customer account and subscription data (metadata) – this includes information we collect to manage your account and subscription, such as billing details, payment processing information, and customer support interactions. These data points are managed securely either by us or through trusted third-party service providers, some of which operate outside the EEA. Whenever data is transferred outside the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place – such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) – to maintain a GDPR-compliant level of protection.
