What does a phishing email look like and how you can spot the difference?
- The name of the company is not quite right, i.e. poor spelling or capitalisation
- Poor grammar and spelling in the email itself
- Requests to validate your account when you have not engaged or contact the company or support team
- Requests for your sign in credentials (password) or asking you to sign into an unfamiliar website
- Contains a suspicious attachment
- Is formatted differently to previous emails you received from us or your previous provider
- Advises your action is required, but the date mentioned does not match your renewal dates
